Salary;  £7.65 per hour for first 12 weeks, £9.65 after 12 weeks.

Hours of Work; 8.00pm – 2.00am Monday-Friday

Location; East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington

Our client, an international logistics company, has a vacancy for a Exports Clerk to join their team.  The position involves entering details onto the client’s in-house system and HM Customs system. Contact with client’s depots throughout the UK via telephone and email. Collation of export paperwork.

A Criminal Records Check, AVSEC Certificate and 5 years referencing will need to be obtained for this position. Details of these will be discussed prior to interview.

The Role;

  • Receiving data on in-bound aircraft consignments from depots
  • Updating systems accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring all data is complete and in order
  • Meeting consignment in the warehouse
  • Production of routing labels and manifests
  • Ensuring all customs and security tags are in-tact and correct
  • Co-ordinating the distribution of all consigned goods
  • Working to set procedures, targets and Health & Safety Guidelines

  • Possess excellent numeracy and literacy skill
  • Previous export experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • Possess current AVSEC Level D certificate an advantage but not essential
  • Possess current Criminal Records Check an advantage but not essential
