Our client, a global Supplier to the aerospace industry is seeking a Module Manager to join their Loughborough premises. The successful Module Manager will lead and manage the day-to-day production operations for on time delivery to the company’s customers, whilst aligning tasks with company policies and procedures. Responsible for production reorganisation, managing vendors and consultants, as well as, internal employees.

The Role;

  • Initiate plans and processes which minimise manufacturing costs through effective utilisation of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital
  • Ensure attainment of business objectives and production schedules
  • Ensure standards meet or exceed customer’s expectations
  • Lead the Production Team in achieving tasks, schedules and goals
  • Develops a world-class operations organisation by providing training, coaching and counselling and top grading as appropriate
  • Ensure resources are utilised effectively and drives improvements
  • Ensure general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements are maintained and updated
  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Our Ideal Candidate;

  • Previous experience in production engineering, production management or related activity
  • Experience with and advanced training in Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques with significant exposure to Kanban managed supply chain
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational and organisational problems
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Would be advantageous to be APICS Certified
  • Post-Secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work
