Salary; Starting Salary of £21,000 per annum

Shift Pattern; Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Location; Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Our client is seeking a self-motivatedQuality Assurance Assistant to join their established global organisation. Working as part of a busy Quality Department, this is a customer-facing role to ensure that customers are satisfied with the quality of their products and to ensure that internal processes and accreditations are maintained and improved where necessary. In addition, candidates will also be expected to carry out chemical and dimensional inspections on products on the shop floor alongside the Inspection team.

The Quality Assurance Assistant Role;

• Handling customer claims and complaints regarding quality issues
• Driving continuous improvement and resolving customer complaints
• Responsible for internal quality processes including root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions to maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 18001 accreditation
• Creating Certificates of Conformance with customers
• Carrying out dimensional and chemical inspections on products alongside Quality Inspectors
• Occasionally travelling to customer sites to deal with any quality issues
• Liaising with other departments such as production and H&S to ensure quality standards are met
• Suggesting improvements to department performance to actively reduce quality issues
• Carrying out administrative duties on internal quality database

The Quality Assurance Assistant Candidate;

• Experience in a QA role within a manufacturing/engineering environment
• Qualification in an engineering discipline would be an advantage
• Exposure to working with/maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 18001
• Proficient with IT packages such as MS Office
• Strong customer-facing/service skills
• Experience with using measurement tools such as verniers, micrometers etc is desirable
• Highly organised and able to manage workloads effectively with strong attention to detail
