Working Hours: Monday – Thursday – 8:30am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 3:45pm (some flexibility required depending on the site programme)

Our client, is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and time served Contracts Manager to join their committed team. The successful individual will oversee and manage several sites whilst ensuring project deadlines are exceeded whilst maximising profit.

The Contract Manager Role;

  • Manage all projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all teams (Designers, Consultants, Employees and Sub-contractors) have clear direction and agreed timeframes to work to
  • Regularly liaise with the Client to ensure we fully understand their brief, updating them on how the project is moving forward
  • Ensure projects are run to programme with effective commercial delivery of the construction projects ensuring that projects are technically compliant
  • Ensure safe delivery of construction projects and ensuring that the projects are completed and of a high quality standard with no defects
  • Organise meetings with stakeholders to ensure co-ordination, understanding and responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Commercial Department on all aspects of delivery
  • Have regular dialogue with the project team to ensure commercial and construction position is not compromised
  • Monitor progress on a weekly/monthly basis and where necessary take action to prevent slippage / recover lost time
  • Identify required levels of resourcing for successful enactment of projects and support for future business
  • Give clear direction as required within the team, as regards day to day business activity
  • Take the lead in the resolution of any cost, design or methodology issues to ensure smooth manufacture and construction
  • Liaise with and support all Suppliers and Sub-Contractors as necessary
  • Disseminate safe working practices to the construction team and ensure the high standard of Health & Safety ethos is maintained at all times
  • Arrange with the Health & Safety Department regular site visits and to ensure any observations / actions are closed out in a timely manner

Our Ideal Contract Manager Candidate;

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Clients, Suppliers, On-Site Construction Teams and internal departments
  • Proven track record in delivering large projects to customers specification and within agreed timeframes
  • Full understanding of the project design, tender and  contract
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects at any time given
  • Analytical approach and ability to adopt a continuous improvement approach
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to make decisions with ease
  • Previous experience of operating as a Contracts Manager within a Modular Building setting
  • CSCS black card is essential
  • Full Uk Driving Licence will be required as some travel across sites is required for this role
