Job Title; Workshop/Accounts Controller

Salary; £25,000 – £27,000 per annum

Shift Pattern; Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Location; Northampton, Northamptonshire

Our client, a successful Civil Engineering company is seeking an experienced Workshop/Accounts Controller to join their expanding Plant Division. Responsible for coordinating the hire and maintenance of plant and equipment, you will also be responsible for accounts duties such as invoicing and purchase orders.

The Workshop/Accounts Controller Role;

  • Answer incoming calls to record breakdowns and create job cards
  • Prioritise job cards for fitters to maximise equipment utilisation
  • Order exchanges and move internal equipment where necessary to maintain hires
  • Manage asset and spare part warranties to ensure we maximise revenue and limit unnecessary spending
  • Identify recurring faults among brand type and models for manufacturer liaison
  • Add all ex-hire invoices to the system and match to PO’s. (ensure invoice queries are dealt with)
  • Provide financial reports and information to Senior Management
  • Monitor expenses within the Plant business

The Workshop/Accounts Controller Candidate;

  • Plant spares and maintenance knowledge
  • Previous use of CMMS
  • Warranty management and supplier liaison
  • Accounting and financial control knowledge
  • Hire contract experience and an in depth understanding of CPA hire terms
  • Strong Commercial acumen
  • Excellent customer service and supplier relations
