Job Title; Maintenance Engineer

Salary; £35,000-£37,000 per annum

Shift Pattern; Monday – Friday, Day Shift

Location; Cannock, Staffordshire 

Our client, a leading engineering company based in Cannock are seeking an experienced electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting PPM and reactive maintenance of all on site machinery, ensuring downtime is minimised and to actively contribute as part of the Maintenance Team.

The Maintenance Engineer Role;

  • Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance on all machinery on site including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical in line with the TPM plan
  • Working to and reading electrical drawings
  • Contribute and actively participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Carry out offline repairs to spare parts to ensure availability for continued production and minimising downtime
  • Support stock control of parts and materials
  • Work to lean principles in order to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensuring all company procedures are followed as necessary

The Maintenance Engineer Candidate;

  • 17th or 18th edition, with knowledge of PLCs and HMI control systems
  • Some mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to read electrical engineering drawings
  • A strong electrical background preferably with a recognised City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ certificate in Electrical Maintenance
  • A working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Capable of working as part of a team with relatively little supervision and using own initiative
  • Flexible and willing to work in a high paced environment
