Job Title: Sales Coordinator

Salary: £24,023 per annum

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 09:00 am – 17:00 pm

Location: Oakham, Rutland

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Sales Coordinator. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide efficient service and after-sales support to customers and internal departments from first enquiry, to order delivery

The Role:

  • Processing of new or established customer enquiries and orders and maintenance of customer delivery dates.
  • Collate all relevant information to promptly process enquiries. 
  • Maintain customer quotes, product lists, price lists, and any associated documentation.
  • Provide customers with proof of deliveries (PODs) when requested. 
  • Liaise closely with planning, production and distribution to facilitate on-time delivery where necessary.
  • Liaise directly with the external sales team on customer issues and sales data where necessary.
  • Identify product alternatives in the event of shortages and agree with external sales and the customer before despatch.
  • Record and process customer complaints, liaise with customers, quality, technical, and planning to generate satisfactory complaint resolutions.
  • Process new artwork through customer approval to the finished product.
  • Carry out other duties that may be required from time to time to develop and facilitate an efficient operation.

  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manners to work across departments and liaise with customers.
  • Proven experience working in a customer service environment.
  • Flexible in approach and prepared to assist team members when required.
  • Good Excel spreadsheet skills with analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and word-processing skills.
  • Good troubleshooting skills, including data and processes.
  • Confident and self-motivated can work well in a pressurised environment, individually and as part of a team.
  • Sense of humour.
  • Enjoys a challenge.
  • Knowledge of Sage systems is desirable but not essential (or similar).  Comfortable working in a process change environment.
