Nick Rawlins

Joining the Recruitment Industry back in 1997, I spent the first ten years learning my trade and sometimes having to learn the hard way!  My early career saw me get the sack, move companies for career progression and  being made redundant (not all at the same time, fortunately!), so I’ve had a fairly good exposure into other Recruitment Businesses and the pressures put on people in our Industry.

My redundancy was the catalyst to incorporate JTA and with ten years of working for different companies I was able to take the best bits from the companies I worked with and equally do as much as possible to remove some elements that just didn’t work for me. The primary aim right from the start has been to develop and empower at all levels within the business, which is quite unique within the Industry.

The company name by the way comes from our (Michelle and I) two sons.  It seemed the best motivator at the time and still encapsulates our company ethos today, this being one family.

In my spare time I can usually be found in a field with my spaniel and regardless of the weather, donning a pair of wellies!

Michelle Rawlins

Having worked in a customer service role for 10 plus years and Education for 10 years, inspired by our children, Thomas and Jacob, Nick and I incorporated Jacob Thomas Associates in 2007 to provide a workplace that develops all.

The team are a delight to work alongside and would probably say that I am focused, driven and determined with high expectations, however, has a good, maybe dry sense of humour, is supportive, encouraging and always needs a cup of tea in hand.

I love the outdoors so gardening and hiking are a passion. Before the big “50” I would like to complete the coast to coast walk, following Wainwrights footsteps. I enjoy researching the history, culture and differing architecture of the countries I visit whilst travelling. For relaxation, reading a good book or watching the latest box office movie is a must and ‘if the hips allow’ a jolly good boogie.

Having been with Jacob Thomas since conception it’s now been 11 great years! I came from a long career within commercial aviation where customer service was paramount and can honestly say that the level of service Jacob Thomas provides its customers far exceeds that of which I was accustomed to in previous years. From the outset it was clear that the vision for the business was to provide the very best of everything it was involved in and this was truly refreshing. Watching the company grow from strength to strength, having been on the journey all the way, and seeing the Jacob Thomas family grow is incredible! 
I guess I would be described as someone with a mischievous sense of humour. I like to look at the positive things in life and love spending time with my family and friends. Being an Aussie I take great pride in showing all the Brits the true meaning of the word BBQ!!

I joined Jacob Thomas Associates on a part-time basis in January 2015.
Prior to working at Jacob Thomas Associates I had 18 years working as a HR professional in various manufacturing companies, with the majority of those years  as a  senior manager.  In my last role, working as a Senior Manager within the Aviation Manufacturing Industry,  I formed a successful recruitment partnership with Jacob Thomas Associates and was lucky enough, after becoming a mum to 2 children and looking for more of a work-life balance, to be offered a role at Jacob Thomas which I thoroughly enjoy as I am able to use all my skills and experience to support the business/Directors and mentor the team to be the best they can, whilst still being a full time mum.
Having an 8 year old girl and 5 year old boy that love dancing and football I am kept pretty busy, but I also find time to socialise with friends and have ‘me time’! My friends would describe me as down to earth, very organised, caring but sometimes a bit too serious.  My favourite food is Italian, movie ’The Greatest Showman’ and I find ‘Celebrity Juice’ and ‘Mrs Brown Boys’ very funny.

I have worked for Jacob Thomas Associates since June 2015 after 10 years working within the Customer Service sector.   I chose to work at Jacob Thomas because the company matched my ambition, drive and passion for customer satisfaction. I started as a trainee recruitment consultant and now progressing through the structured training programme, I commence “The Complete Recruitment Manager course” through the BIoR this month and aspire to be company’s first home-grown divisional manager before the end of the year.
Big fan of live music, sporting events and Leicester City fan. When I’m not in work mode I like to spend key family time with my Fiance Sarah and three children Noah, Barney and Blossom.

I joined JT in March 2015 as a Trainee Consultant for the Temporary Division. Having came from a customer focused and sales orientated background I quickly progressed to Permanent Lead with the support from my mentors and the team.
It has been an incredible journey working at JT. I have been provided with the opportunity to work with inspiring, market leading candidates and some truly amazing blue chip clients and SME’s. Having recently completed my accreditation through The British Institute of Recruiters, I continue to be provided with opportunities from JT to further my development and knowledge in the industry. Jacob Thomas Associates not only invests in their clients and candidates, they also invest in their employees. 
My friends would say I’m feisty, a little bit of a perfectionist and love having fun. Whether it’s travelling around in a camper van exploring, skiing on the slopes or climbing a mountain, I’m a firm believer life is an adventure, so go out and enjoy it.

I commenced working with JTA back in 2010 after being a chef for 15 years.  This was a big career move and change of scenery after moving back to Leicester from Warwickshire.
I find working at Jacob Thomas Associates fun, exciting and a new challenge everyday, from starting in the payroll department I have been given the opportunity to progress through to a full consultant. I was awarded with the Temp controller of the year for how I control and speak to my temporary staff.
Outside of work I enjoy Formula 1, especially a big fan of Ayton Senna who changed the sport forever. I also enjoy films and anything investigative (NCIS,CSI). My friends would consider me to be a good laugh and always up for going out to music festivals.

I joined Jacob Thomas Associates in October 2014 and during my time here I’ve learnt many things and gained many new experiences.
I believe the one thing that sets Jacob Thomas apart from the rest within the industry is our ethics for the people we work with. This is something I value and one of the many reasons I decided to join Jacob Thomas. Our workers don’t just represent our brand, they are our brand. Within an industry that has this stigma, we are that change. This is why I believe in Jacob Thomas. 
I am the Business Centre Administrator at Jacob Thomas. I support the team to ensure all Administrative duties are delivered, compliance, process payroll and I am the main credit controller for the company. I am very excited to have started my AAT qualification with Jacob Thomas and to develop further with this.
When I am not at work I enjoy keeping fit, travelling and cooking. I am a bit of joker and I am very well known within my family and friends for this. Most people would describe me as a patient and fun loving person. I am also a keen skier and always up for challenging myself and trying new things.

I started with Jacob Thomas in August 2017. Working at Jacob Thomas is fun and exciting with lots of progression opportunities and pushes you to achieve to the best of your ability.

Prior to commencing employment with Jacob Thomas I worked in Sales, Insurance, Buying and Project Assistant roles.

I started with Jacob Thomas as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, I was welcomed in to the team extremely well and I have achieved and learnt  so much in the last year including taking The Complete Recruiter Course with the British Institute Of Recruiters! I have now progressed on to a Junior Recruitment Consultant and I am working towards becoming an all round 360 Consultant, and my ultimate goal is to become a Recruitment Manager.

From the early stages of joining Jacob Thomas, the atmosphere and working environment is unrivalled. From day one it is not the case of joining a Recruitment Agency, It is the case of being welcomed into an ever helpful team. JTA have been a huge help in educating, encouraging and enhancing my skills as a Trainee Consultant which has helped me achieve so much already.
I am a huge sport enthusiast, a big Leicester City fan and have been lucky enough to have worked in the football industry within a variety of sectors of football clubs.
Coming from a football industry background comprising of Commercial, Retail, Ticketing and Media experience, I wanted to take my skills to the next level and Jacob Thomas Associates has allowed me to do that.
What I enjoy most about my work is being able to go above and beyond to find a solution to help a client or customer that leaves a positive and lasting impression of the company I represent.

Jack Mooney

I joined Jacob Thomas Associates in July 2018 after graduating from University.
Each day at JTA brings something new to learn and the close-knit environment means that everyone is on hand to help. I am enjoying the atmosphere and the work that JTA does, offering more bespoke services to a fantastic range of clients. My  main ambition at the moment is to become a qualified Consultant with accreditation from the British Institute of Recruiters which is just one of the many exciting opportunities that JTA provides.
I have been described as determined, driven and quick-witted with (apparently) a fairly dry sense of humour. In my spare time I consider myself a bit of a bookworm and am a keen reader of Sci-Fi and Fantasy, however I must admit I’m partial to the odd Thriller. As well as this, I am often trying my own hand at writing (though I make no claims to be the next Poet Laureate!). I have a keen interest in comedy and enjoy watching stand-up comedians, my favourites being Micky Flanagan and John Bishop.
